DIVINE HERESY: Montreal Video Footage Posted Online
October 21, 2009Video footage of DIVINE HERESY's October 19, 2009 performance at Les Foufounes Electriques in Montreal, Quebec, Canada as part of the "Night Eternal Above America Tour" with MOONSPELL can be viewed below. Also appearing on the bill are BOOK OF BLACK EARTH and SECRETS OF THE MOON.
DIVINE HERESY is the California-based band featuring FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares.
Cazares had the following to say regarding DIVINE HERESY's participation in the MOONSPELL tour: "We have been waiting patiently for the perfect touring opportunity to present itself and we couldn't possibly be more pleased to be direct support to the mighty MOONSPELL this fall. This North American tour is exactly what we were looking for as we wanted a chance to perform in front of a lot of new faces that might not have been exposed to our band. This tour marks the kick-off of a massive worldwide touring campaign to support the new 'Bringer of Plagues' album.
"DIVINE HERESY is better than ever and we are embarking on this tour with only one, simple goal in mind: to annihilate everything in our path. Expect an unrelenting set and if your jaw isn't on the floor when we finish, then we haven't done our job, but that won't be the case. Be sure to come by the merch booth each night to say hello to us all and we look forward to seeing everyone soon. It's certainly been way too long."
DIVINE HERESY's sophomore album, "Bringer of Plagues", sold around 3,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 148 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 4 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
DIVINE HERESY's first album, "Bleed The Fifth", opened with 2,700 units back in September 2007.
"Bringer of Plagues" was released in North America on July 28 via Century Media Records.
